We were fed up with the sameness of all the functional drinks claiming to be the next greatest cure for who knows what, like an elixir from the dark ages; we were fed up with the overly sugary drinks that gave you that sugar high and then burned you out an hour later and made your dentist wealthy and you toothless; we were fed up with the next greatest energy drink that was going to enable you to leap a tall building in a single bound, only to leave you bug-eyed and jittery; we were fed up with artificial sweeteners and ingredients that were made in a lab with unknown long-term side effects. The fact is, we were fed up with all these claims which are a bunch of marketing poppycock. Yes, I said poppycock.

What we truly wanted was something that we could drink anytime of the day and not worry about the effects on our body or minds; we wanted something more flavorful than water, but not 100% juice which tends to have too much sugar; we wanted the fruit taste without all the common drawbacks found in so many products; we wanted the product to have effervescence, but just enough to make your tongue tingle, but this product didn’t exist....

So.... we created it.

We decided to create beverages that we could feel good about drinking, beverages that would fit into a healthy lifestyle, simply constructed with fantastic flavor that left you feeling refreshed and satisfied. We mixed our first drinks in our kitchen in a small cottage in Atherton, California. We started by experimenting with different flavors, ingredients and natural sweeteners. Over time, several drinks became a staple around the house, frequently requested by family and friends. After months of enjoying our concoctions and with encouragement from our family and friends we started California Naturals to share our drinks with you.

Each beverage is designed to have a very unique character. Each drink was formulated differently, focusing on the distinct flavor of each fruit, that's one of the reasons you'll find different percentages of juice in each of our drinks.
